Cooking With Cider with Chef Brandon Price and Mountain West Cider

This week the Even Stevens team visited  Mountain West Cider to try some delicious ciders paired with dishes our very own Chef Brandon Price cooked up. Chef infused different ciders into his dishes to perfectly complement the pairing and to showcase how ciders can compliment different flavor palate.

Mountain West Cider walked us through their process from the apples they harvest locally to the creation of their labels. This local cider company not only makes an incredible brew, they also give back by donating  Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance as well as supporting local producers by using locally grown ingredients.

Check out the photos from our event and the pairings we tried below. Be sure to check their website for recipes and to find out where you can buy a bottle of your own Mountain West Cider. https://mountainwestcider.com/

7-Mile Session Hard Cider

Known for its historic petroglyphs and authentic Mesoamerican works of art, Seven-Mile Canyon is a popular Southern Utah destination for climbing, hiking, and exploring. Our light and refreshing 7-Mile Hard Cider contains 5% alcohol by volume and is best enjoyed with good friends under a desert sunset—just like its namesake canyon.

Ruby Hard Cider

A crisp 6.8% alcohol by volume hard apple cider for year-round enjoyment and everyday get-togethers. Taking its name from the surrounding red sandstone, Ruby Canyon encompasses 25 miles of the Colorado River shared between Utah and Colorado. Ruby Canyon brings together the two states, like Ruby Hard Apple Cider brings together family and friends.

Desolation Prickly Pear Hard Cider

Known for its countless whitewater rapids, Desolation Canyon spans 83 remote miles of Utah’s Green River. Infused with prickly pear puree for a pinkish hue, Desolation Prickly Pear Hard Cider packs a punch with its 6.9% alcohol content and a subtle melon flavor that transitions to a citrusy finish as unique as the Utah desert. And every bottle you buy helps support the stewardship efforts of the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance.
